Old Sage Farm is located at 4305 Sundown Road on 24 beautiful acres in Laytonsville, MD.  We’re located in Montgomery County, convenient to Howard County, as well.  Donna Weeks is a master herbalist who started the farm selling herbs, plants and vegetables.  Old Sage Farm is and always has been organic.  (We were green when everyone else was colorblind.)

Donna started teaching classes with Montgomery County recreation department over 20 years ago.  Over time, the jewelry craze hit and she started teaching jewelry classes.  (As well as continuing some of the other favorites like mosaics and aromatherapy.)  She has taught herself to do many different jewelry techniques.  Her most popular classes are the basic jewelry and wire work classes.   She also teaches a bead stinging class, earring class, polymer clay, fused glass and much more!  Several of her original designs have been published in national jewelry magazines including Bead Trends and BeadStyle.

Amy Gunn started teaching with her mother in many of the classes.  Over time, Amy has started teaching her own classes.  Amy specializes in metalwork, bead stitching and chain maille.  Amy has had her metalwork earrings published in Bead Trends.

Linda Ely also teaches many of the classes at Old Sage Farm.  Linda is a watercolor artist but she also does embroidery, collage, and many other mediums.  She teaches collage art, “images on glass”, watercolor, wire knitting (which she says she’ll never teach again) and several other classes at Old Sage Farm.  Linda has her watercolor art at several galleries in the area.  She spends her summers in Maine painting and creating.  You can get more information from her website at www.lindaely.net.
